I think people tend to post more when we lose. Folks are always ready to jump in on "what went wrong" discussions. When we win (especially big wins, like the Iowa game), I think a lot of us just lay back and enjoy the happy vibe.

Overall, I'm very pleased with how the season has gone. Given the unbelievable string of injuries on defense that had players either missing games or playing at far below full strength, I would say it's been a successful year. A win against Wisconsin would be all kinds of huge, and a wonderful way to cap off the year. The big story is that we've got back-to-back winning records for only the 2nd time in the "modern" era.

As for b-ball, I don't know that there's much to say other than "Coble is out for the year". That's the one guy you couldn't afford to lose. It's way, way worse in terms of impact than the FB team losing Tyrell Sutton for most of a year (or two years).

I think the b-ball team still has a chance to accomplish things, but it's going to be very hard to make up for the loss of Coble.
