While Iowa probably played their way into the Fiesta Bowl today, the overall result is a bad day for the B(C)S ...

* USC, the best Pac 10 at-large candidate in years got crushed by Stanford
* Miami, who while not big on fans would bring a name, lost at UNC
* And unfortunately for them, they cannot take a third SEC or Big Ten team to fill seats and get ratings

So filling in the blanks after the auto-bids are in and the Sugar takes Bama and the Fiesta snaps up Iowa with their compensatory pick ...

Title: Florida vs. Texas
Rose: Ohio State vs. Oregon
Sugar: Alabama vs. ???
Fiesta: Iowa vs. ???
Orange: Georgia Tech vs. ???

This leaves them with few options ...

- The Orange picks first and could take the Big East "title game" loser, Cincy/Pitt, knowing that they bring few fans or ratings and that Cincy was there last year ...
- Or they could pray that Arizona somehow loses close to Oregon and crushes SC so the Fiesta takes them and Iowa is left ...
- Maybe pull some shenanigans to get Okie State eligible?
- Hope for upsets of heavily favored GaTech or Texas in their title games

Or eat the tickets and give both Boise and TCU at-large bids.

Aaaaaah, the schadenfraude continues!:)
