Fellow Wildcat Faithful,

I think today's victory virtually guarantees that we won't have to go to Detroit. As I understand it, all teams with winning records have to be placed before a 6-6 team can get a bid (though this may change next year). 

I am certain that tOSU will beat Michigan (but it won't affect us either way), which will leave us with 7 eligible teams and 7 bowls. The only way we'd go to Detroit is if we had no 6-6 teams which means that Minnesota would have to beat Iowa AND MSU would have to beat Penn State. I expect that Penn State will beat the Spartans and the Motor Cheese Bowl will get 35,000 tickets but only 16 hotel rooms. 

I must congratulate Fitz. Easy opponents and ugly wins aside, back-to-back bowls at Northwestern is a coaching accomplishment.
