Bowl projections are usually pretty crazy, especially with a few weeks left
to play (four more games for some teams).  I remember just 10 years ago or
so there was maybe just one set of bowl projections floating around, and
that was usually with just a couple weeks left in the season.  Now, bowl
projections start before the season and are all over the place.

Personally, I would ignore the ESPN Schlabach/Feldman projections -
sometimes they blatantly ignore bowl selection rules and even conference
affiliations and they're usually proven wrong.  For the Big Ten, I would
stick with Rittenberg's projections, which are posted at his blog on ESPN
weekly.  He knows the Big Ten selection rules better than anyone and is very
reasonable in his selections.

I've gone over this in detail before, but I really don't see two non-BCS
conference teams getting into BCS games and think that the bowls would be
nuts to pull such a move, so I think that anyone who has that as an option
right now will probably be wrong.  Of course everyone except for TCU and
Boise State could lose two more games and put the BCS bowls into a tough
spot, but I doubt it.

Finally, don't expect to book your flights until Dec. 6 when the bowl
pairings are announced.  It will likely come down to if the Big Ten can get
a second team into the BCS, which means waiting until Sunday afternoon.
