[NU Sports] NU Attendance et al

The reality is that there is snobbery at virtually any human institution with more than a handful of people.

Sorry you had a bad experience with it at NU, but if you had gone to Univ. of Chicago instead, or Michigan, or Stanford, or Vandy, or U of I Chicago Circle, you would have encountered the same sort of insecure people who had to enhance their own egos at the expense of others.

The other reality is that institutions like NU have a specific mission. It is to provide a world class education to the academically gifted. That is not snobbery. Those to whom much is given, much should be expected.

As a result, NU has to evaluate their academic investments against that mission. Some things fit. Some things are a better fit for other schools with a different mission. Doesn't make NU better or worse or snobby. Just focused to serve their chosen audience.

<These are the types of degrees that a pedestrian institution offers to stay competitive in athletics. Such degrees should never be offered by Northwestern.

Now THAT is snobbery.
