> Didn't NU have a Physical Education department that closed in the 1970s? I thought I remember a list member explaining once that it was closed by a University president who didn't care for scholarship sports. 

I thought they closed the whole School of Education in the late 60's, along with the
undergraduate School of Business.  Some years after that they moved the graduate 
School of Management to the Evanston campus.
