[NU Sports] Possible Bowl matchups

I know ... Stanford and NU, the two brain schools, take out the Pasadena frontrunners (and thus help both of the jockocracy-rule schools from Columbus and SC ... thank your nerd buddies, Bucknuts and Spoiled Children!).

Or an Alamo rematch with Nebraska??? If we beat Illinois and escape the 6-6 logjam, I don't think we can fall to the Insight (which is unfortunate for me living in the Valley of the Sun). I also don't think we crack the Rose/Florida top four bowls (Champs picks before Alamo) unless the Big Ten somehow gets two BCS teams. So a win next week probably sends us to San Antonio again.

Actually, Oregon would have to lose twice, wouldn't they? The Ducks have one Pac 10 loss while SC has two and Oregon has the tiebreak.

The sentimental fave would probably be Arizona - the only Pac 10 school to never make a Rose Bowl. They have a final stretch of Cal, Oregon (at home) and SC, so they control their fate.
