It absolutely is too high. NU needs to do something about this. I know that we want to get full price from as many visiting PSU, Michigan, and tOSU fans as possible, but that doesn't mean we can't lower the price for some tickets in order to attract the casual fan.
Most of the visiting fans are determined to see their team. Either it's the one time every two years that their team is playing in Chicago (where they live) or they are making a trip to Chicago (so plans are made in advance). Either way, you pretty much have your $50 tickets sold 72 hours before kickoff. You could try other gimmicks, but you could simply say 72-48 before the game the price drops to $30, 48-24 hours before the game the price is $20, and 24-0 hours before the game it's $10 a seat.

Does anyone else think that $50 a pop for tickets for a team that (sorry, will be brutal here) has not won a league title since 2000 or a bowl game since 1949 is too much money?
I know, tickets are cheaper bought by season plans, etc. But still.
