:) - well, let 'em all think what they want.
I will say this though, to quote the blog blast:
"This year's schedule, rated by Law Buck as the tenth easiest in the conference, will help pad the win totals again."
Tenth easiest in the conference?
Wouldn't that be second most difficult?:)
What do you expect from a blog with an OSU guy at the top.:)
Overall, they do have a point in the ceiling of this program - but they miss the overall message. You can't say NU football and just bring up the 1980s losing streak and dismiss the Cats. Since 1995, NU has been competitive in just about every Big Ten campaign and fared above expectations most years. The foolish will keep pointing to the schedule and dismiss the gains ... but the rest of us know that Fitz is building a winner off the foundation built by Barnett and Walker. Are we a championship contender? Not yet. But being a school that regularly finishes in the upper half of the league and heads to bowls is a mighty big step from those mid-80s teams.
GO CATS!!!
