I don't think it would be giving anything away to the opponents to say that Hilary Bowen probably isn't anything like 100% right now. Even if her knee were healthy, that big knee brace she's wearing would put a crimp in her offensive attack. But she was moving surprisingly well, and can certainly still shoot the ball.
For those who haven't seen them play, Hilary has been the NU player most likely to get knocked down, tripped up, or face-planted in front of the goal 3 or 4 times a game, while often managing to still put the ball in the net anyway. From her fearless style of play, it's not all that surprising that Bowen would be able to do whatever she could to get back on the field.
I would definitely encourage making the trip this weekend if at all possible. Whether or not they secure championship #5, I don't know that you will ever see any Northwestern team better at what they do than the '09 Lacrosse team.
