There is a terrific article in today's (Saturday's) NY Times about our 4-time National Champions and their incredible bond with, and support of, Jaclyn Murphy and her family, as Jaclyn has overcome, in a magical way (to quote her dad), the ravages of a brain tumor, and in the process become a "member" of the team.? Having met a number of the players and Coach Amonte Hiller and the Murphy clan?at several annual NU Sports Nights in NYC, this article just reaffirmed how proud all of us should be at these wonderful representatives of?everything that is right about Northwestern and about college sports.? And I can't help but add that Coach Fitz, who seems to have a mutual admiration society with Coach Amonte Miller (They both were at last year's Sports Night.), has also adopted Community Service requirements for his teams, which has given his "young men"?(as he describes his players) the same depth and perspective that the lacrosse players describe receiving from their relationshi
