The Detroit Freep reported that John Gill has signed with the Lions.  Hopefully we Lions fans' time in the wilderness is coming to an end.  The Freep also reported that the Lions' coach refuses to play Matt Stafford, Their $41.7 million first round quarterback pick until the coach feels he is ready; another good sign.  As the Freep put it, the coach told William Clay Ford that he is running the team, not Ford's accountant.
