Actually, I've been thinking the opposite; a lot of the games have gone 
down to the wire, with some improbable comebacks thrown in. One tends to 
forget that a "Cinderella upset" often leads to a boring blowout in the 
next round; this year we've seen strong teams matched up in almost every 
game. Some blowouts are inevitable, but I've seen way fewer this year.

If your definition of "exciting" means being able to find a quirky angle 
before the game is played -- you know, the kind of thinking that would 
make Northwestern vs. Kansas State the event of the century -- perhaps 
this tournament is more "dull" than most. Watching the actual games, 
though, has been much more exciting than usual for me this year.
