[NU Sports] Basketball Coaches salaries

Has Northwestern ever gone public with salaries, whether for professors 
or coaches? I've always had the notion that we're pretty tight-lipped 
about that sort of thing, and rightfully so. That would make the concept 
of sending signals largely irrelevant in NU's case.

I've no data on what would make NU's faculty "choke," but personal 
experience would suggest to me that sports have nothing to do with it. 
Many would be similarly upset if one of their peers on the faculty made 
an insane amount of money compared to them, which is probably why NU 
keeps things like that rather private -- and why Miss Manners has 
advised against talking about money in polite company since the beginning.
