The unfortunate fact is - 26 years later, that is the basketball high-water mark - a 2nd round NIT match-up against DePaul and Coach Ray (I still think we were robbed on that final shot)...Well, at least we know that if we beat ND, DePaul couldn't hurt us this season.? 

Has the Chicago area ever had less to show for a college basketball season ?? No 20-game winners, nobody better than 8-10 in conference.

1983 over Digger Phelps (wearing a green carnation) & the Fighting Irish, at the 
Rosemont Horizon.  That was a great game to attend!

My guess is @ Notre Shame.

ND, because no other local teams are probably going to make the NIT.

No home game, because NIT generally goes to who can sell the most tickets.
