I stand corrected - - thanks to a fellow lister for the email noting that I omitted NU's big 69-68 defeat of DePaul in the NIT 11 years later.
Sorry gang. Should have said the win over ND in '83 was NU's first of two postseason men's hoops triumphs.
Let's hope the Cats get more this year!
Best,
Willie

Would be a rematch of NU's only postseason men's hoops win ever, St. Pat's Day 1983 over Digger Phelps (wearing a green carnation) & the Fighting Irish, at the Rosemont Horizon. That was a great game to attend!

My guess is @ Notre Shame.
ND, because no other local teams are probably going to make the NIT.
No home game, because NIT generally goes to who can sell the most tickets.
