How about something really new and unique here....Let's bury the negativity  
and hand-wringing about Carmody and the 'Cat hoopsters for the next month or  
however long this season lasts--whether in the Big Ten tourney, at the Dance, 
or  at the NIT.   I have hardly been a Carmody booster over the past year  or 
two, but let's savor this moment.  If not "on the bubble", we at least  are in 
the "mentioned" category, for the first time in our  memory/lifetimes.  
Barring a total humiliation in Indianapolis, we are a  virtual lock for the NIT and 
hopefully a home game or two, and if we get on a  roll in 'Naptown, we could 
be fitted for Cinderalla's dancin' glass  slipper.  So why, oh why, are we now 
moaning and b----ing?  Let's  savor this moment and hope that it lasts and 
lasts, and becomes not just a  moment, but a celebration.  The Coach has done 
the job this year--as has  the team--pure and simple.  All of us would have 
taken 17-12, 8-10 back in  October in a heartbeat--just like we would have taken 
9-3 and a thrilling, if  heartbreaking loss at the Alamo for our gridiron crew. 
Sure, we blew a  few we should have nailed down, but we still had a great, 
exciting  season--with more to come.
 
So let's give Coach C. and the team a conditional "A" for maybe  the best 
season in Purple and White in the 20th or 21st Centuries.   Now let them earn it 
in the post-season.
