For the first time EVER, I am submitting a Cat basketball report card. Never did one before because it never mattered.

Craig Moore B My vote for MVP for his consistent shooting, vastly improved all-around game, and senior leadership.
He will be sorely missed. You gotta love those Pennsylvania boys!

Kevin Coble B The team's best player and who learned to make his own shots

Michael Thompson B- Solid ball handler, much improved as a shooter, and got better as the season went on.
Needs to penetrate better and be more under control, although both improved during the season.

Jeff Shurna C- Played F one day and B+ the next like talented freshmen do

Luka Mirkovic C- Showed heart but needs to muscle up to become an inside presence

Kyle Rowley F At this point, a wasted scholarship. He added nothing to the team. Worse, improvement was barely
perceptible over the course of the season.

Jeremy Nash C A defensive demon but offers little on offense. May be the team's best athlete but too often out of control.

Sterling Williams D+ A senior whose play won't be missed

Jeff Ryan D Wasn't a threat on either side of the ball

All the rest D- Curletti and Mirkovic might help in the future but have a long way to go.

Coaching A- For coaching, not recruiting. With the best three-point shooting and best turnover ratio in the league, this
team played better than anyone thought possible. I yearn to see what Carmody could do with the talent
                                         of a Michigan State.

Recruiting C It's the best in my 45 years of experience with NU basketball, but it's still only average overall.

Needs: 1) Inside presence, 2) impact player, 3) more and better athletes, 4) improved foul shooting
