[NU Sports] Purdue win

My favorite statistic is the school record for wins in a season:  18.  Amazing when you consider that so many coaches AVERAGE 25 or 26 wins over a number of years.

We have a good shot at breaking the record (and maybe getting to 20) this year.

The fact that we are all excited about the possibility of an NIT berth tells 
you how bad we have been--

Willie's stat sent out earlier, below ,says it all

The program totaled six or more conference wins just five times in the 
previous 31 years prior to Carmody's arrival.

Think about that--for 40 years we have just had 5 seasons where we won 6 or 
more conference games - -talk about futility ---That is,on average, once every 
8 years , we go 6-12 (or a possibly a bit better) in conference--The other 7 
years we do worse !

That says more than never receiving an NCAA invitation--
