[NU Sports] NU wins

Yes, the game was a little sloppy :-) but besides the defense doing well, and causing turnovers, the 'Cats seemed to be shooting well also (I don't have stats memorized). Moore had 21, including 2 back-to-back 3's to start the 2nd half, and it was nice to see Jeremy Nash hit a couple of 3's. Indiana buttoned up Coble in teh first half, but he got more scoring ops in 2nd half. And NU buttoned up Indiana's Dumas in the 2nd half after he scored 21 in first half.

The 'Cats had a 9 point lead with about 3-4 min to go but they let the Hoosiers back in at the end - mostly outside and 3pt shots. Clutch free throws by Moore with 6 sec left (not a smart foul by Indiana) and then Coble made the smart, heads up play to ice it.

In BT this season, even against Indiana, I think any win is a great win, there are no gimmes.

Sloppy-ness carried the day.

44 fouls and 41 turnovers between the 2 teams.

We had slightly less turnovers and that made the difference.

Indiana is B-A-D. If they hadn't had a hot shooter(5 3-pointers in the 1st half) we would have one by a dozen. I can't fathom an Indiana team that bad even with the NCAA problems.

Coble had some amazing fall away shots, which saved us.

Nash played really well both offensively and defensively.

We missed at least 2 fast break layups. Ugly. Nash was worried so much about missing another layup he jammed it.

Rowley played better getting 2 baskets on one possesion -- bucket and the harm, moore rebounds the missed foul shot, and then feeds it back to rowley for the 2nd bucket. He is still out of shape and occasionally gets lost away from the bucket leaving the middle open.

out rebounded nearly 2-1 ,out shot 90% vs 65% from the stripe and matched
Indy's 12-23 from beyond the arc ?
