Herb Brooks always felt that way [about hockey] too. An example is when the
NHL All-Stars got absolutely killed by the Soviet Union and in the following
year (1980) HB's created the greatest sports story of the 20th century.
Well worth watching the movie 'Miracle' -- as I'm sure you all have -- but
check out the 'extras DVD' which included an interview with HB.

I think it also underscores that football is, more than just about any
other, a team game. A collection of extremely talented individuals will
lose a football game to a slightly less talented *team* almost every time.
