Even worse was the Jet's contract for Shea which barred the Jets from any
home games until after the Series just in case the Mets made it.

Shea had that funky sliding sideline that could move back and forth for
football, but the Mets didn't want anything changed until they were out of
the series.

It was one reason why the Jets played so many home games in November and
December when they were heading for the playoffs, and why they were able to
win so many games late.

Joe Namath had figured out the winds in Shea, and nobody else did.

Yes. The NY Giants always had a bunch of away games to start the season when
they played at Yankee Stadium while the Yankees were always going to the WS.
Of course I was joking about the cubs but nonetheless I like the idea
