[NU Sports] mostly off-topie political thread

I worked with a guy at Ford, or at Ford's as they say in Motown. in the late 1950's and I remember that he bought a weather balloon, wrapped aluminum foil around it and sent it up on a thin wire that he hooked up to his TV so that he could get Lansing stations and listen to the Detroit Lions broadcasts.  He said the reception wasn't great but he could still see the game.
