If we play our game, which we did, the other guys are always going to look bad. 

What's frustrating is our inability to finish. 

BC did get these guys playing better. Now they have to believe enough in each other to play with confidence all the way to the end.  The biggest example of that to me was the 3 on 1 break at the end where we didn't score because we didn't pass.

. . . that we would lose to Purdue?  Not in my mind.  I've seen it so often it hurts to say how often.  In the second half, we missed a one-and-one and the back half of six two-shot fouls, leaving eight points untallyed.  No moral victory here whatever.  We played nearly our best game and Purdue almost their worst, and we still lost.  Athletic talent is what the other team always has.
