That  was always a key component of Medil--If I remember correctly J-students 
only had 9 out of their 45  required courses actually from the Medill School 
itself.

I was in Tech undergrad and I think about 3/4 of the classes were either in 
Tech or Math/Science

And yes, it's too bad many journailists seem to have a deficiency in various 
subjects that they cover--probably because they didnt have those kind of 
inter-displinary requirements
