According to the NCAA site:

We were 45th nationally in sacks allowed with 22 sacks allowed in 13 games.
That appears to be 2nd in the Big 10.  (Penn State was tied for 4th
nationally with just 13 sacks in 13 games.)

At least compared to other teams in the conference.

We were 5th in the conference in passing offense (59th nationally) and 
8th in the conference in rushing offense (64th nationally.)  Injuries 
surely played a part in the latter.

Defensively, we were tied for 18th nationally and 2nd in the conference 
in sacking the QB, 2.62 per game.  (Illinois was #1 in the conference,
with fewer total sacks but one less game.)
