The Husker list I run is quite a bit larger than this list, but I
think the sentiments about the BCS might be rather diverse there, too.  

There wasn't even universal agreement among Husker fans that the Huskers 
deserved their BCS title game appearance a few years back.  (Though giving 
that title shot to Colorado was pretty much universally dismissed.)

I'm not sure Texas would have done much better than Oklahoma in either the
Big 12 Championship game or the BCS Championship game, though I'm pretty
sure they would have defeated Missouri handily in the former.  

But let's keep in mind that college football rankings (from whence 
come national championships) weren't created to make the fans happy, 
they were created to sell newspapers.
