[NU Sports] CFB Postseason...Survey Says...

To put a little facts and data to the CFB post season debate on this list, 
there were 25 responses to the survey. 

Roughly half of you favor some form of playoffs, either a full playoff or 
a hybrid (Plus One Playoff for Top 4 BCS seeds).   The other half 
preferred to keep the current bowl system.  It was not an option but two 
individuals would prefer to go back to the old traditional bowl system 
(pre-BCS).


The Final Results (25 responses)

 52% = Current Bowl System (13 responses)

 24% = Full Playoffs (6 responses)

 24% = Hybrid -Current Bowls & Plus One Playoff for Top 4 BCS seeds (6 
responses)

These results reflect well the healthy debate on the list and the multiple 
opinions on both sides of having a playoff or not.   They do dispute the 
earlier claim that 75%+ of fans want to keep the current system. 

My vote was for the Hybrid, I think it provides the best opportunity to 
keep the spirit of the traditional bowl system, provides NU as a BCS 
school an easier path to compete for a national title (which we will 
achieve before I die), offers a short playoff to decide the national 
title, and still leaves a subjective debate to the process (Determining 
the Top 4 to compete for the national title) which I enjoy.

If we had a few more thousand responses, I would have sent the survey 
results to our elected officials for them to consider in setting our 
country's priorities but we fell short.

I realize there are other options but let's go with these to keep it 
simple and they seem to be the ones most discussed.
