Didn't say that I felt libertarianism is THE solution to our problem. Just appreciate it's simplicity.
As far as our elected reps, they may be bums, but they are our bums.
We've had term limits in Michigan for a while. All it has done is polarized the parties and deprive the state of those experienced at building the bipartisan coalitions necessary to address the current budget woes.
IMHO the problem is how campaigns are financed.
Remove the money and you eliminate the biggest corrupting element.

I disagre with Jeff. The only thing that can save this country from the political bums in Washington, be they Dems or Republicans, is term limits on Congress.
