Oy. When you start off with a statement this patently wrong, you've 
already lost the discussion.

Setting aside the insulting "everyone who truly matters agrees with me" 
assertion, one could just as easily argue that the truest 
representations of student athletes in college football -- those in the 
other divisions and subdivisions -- all have a playoff. Only the 
low-graduating, showboating, corporate-sponsored, and network-contracted 
(i.e., the most NFL-like) top subdivision avoids a playoff and pretends 
that Tostitos and FedEx are the true sacred cows to be protected.

There are reasons to like the bowl system, but this ad hominem stuff has 
no logic to it at all.
