As someone who has been a college football fanatic his entire life and been to games at every Big Ten stadium and Notre Dame (several times for games not involving NU) I can tell you that this is 100% wrong.
We are not whiners. We are not inferior fans.
We simply cannot accept how this stupid, insane, illogical B(C)-MESS has ruined the game we once loved. Go back to the true bowl tradition. Go forward to a playoff. ANYTHING is better than what we have now and the only people who try and defend it are commies! (Just kidding on that last one :) ).

Sure, because winning your division in the World Cup or UEFA has everything to do with who ends up crowned the champion.

Sure they do. Overtime is an excellent example - and it just came up again this weekend when the Colts never had a chance to win in OT.
As for replay, I don't really think one system is clearly better. Both have tweaked their systems to best fit their game. College didn't want all the challenges and an NFL game would have a lot more stops and starts if every play was reviewed.

But that was the old system. The present system declares a #1 between a select few teams and shoves it down our throat without anything on the field really mattering (not even the so-called meaningful regular season). First it was the computers who favored schools like FSU (even when they lost to Miami on the field) or Big XII schools (even when they didn't even play in their league's title game) ... now it's a bunch of human voters wowed by big scores and routs over results on the field or allowing one conference to have a loss and still matter because they're the mighty SEC whereas everyone else better be perfect - and even then ...
> Hands off, NFL fanatics!!
Rise up, TRUE college football fans! :)
Oh yeah, and hands off commies! :)
GO CATS!!!
