Have to agree--

When I was growing up in the 60's and 70's it was like clockwork that the 
Cotton Bowl would have Lindsey Nelson at the mike, and some team from the SW 
conference (many times Texas) on the field -then we would have the Rose Bowl with 
BT/Pac 10  and the Sugar Bowl on either NYE or NYD with Alabama, LSU  and ND 
seeming to appear multiple times--New Years' Day would be topped off in the 
evening  with the Orange Bowl with teams like Kansas, PSU, OK , and Florida --ah 
Bowl tradition, gone with the wind
