In 1971 I was in jr high,' my brother a freshman at NU and my father an alum of OSU, so I followed the game closely. I told my father that for the first time in my life I would root against the Bucks.  It was the start of something good !

It was a 14-10 victory at Columbus. I was there, with my parents, bothNorthwestern grads. As a Dayton native, raised as a Wildcat, a veritableapostate in the Church of Buckeye Football Supremacy, this was a verybig deal.
I also attended the Wildcats' 33-27 overtime victory in 2004 inEvanston. (The ticket stub sits in the corner of the framed 1996 RoseBowl photo in my home office.)
I can't believe there are more than a handful of people who haveattended both these Northwestern victories over the Bucks.
FYI I broke my right wrist. It's in a cast for six weeks. I made surethe cast is purple. On the prowl for Wildcat stickers to adorn the cast!

I think it was Columbus, but I could be wrong--OSU had a terrible yearin 71 --I think they lost to  Mich/MSU/NU and Colorado--
