I am not sure I would say I had pride, but I am not suggesting blame 
either--Our peers are  all going through the same thing--

I would hope all major non-profits that are experiencing similar issues look 
to ask their employees for pay cuts rather than cut heads --with the largest 
percentages coming from the top--

These folks used to justify their high salaries because the private sector 
heads were making millions and millions --and therefore they felt it was 
appropriate to make high 6 figures--( I know the head of the UC system made close to 
a $ million last year )Well certainly the days of the heads of the major bank 
heads making $20/30/40  million are over, at least for now, and the heads of 
Universities and NGO's should take large pay cuts as well-- I think just 10-12 
years ago the ranges were around $250 K--fine --adjust  it up for inflation, 
but that should be it--and the rest of the employees should be asked for 5-10% 
cuts as well until their finances improve or the market environment makes that 
"proposal" uncompetitive with our peers
