Maybe the walk-ons had been sick earlier but since they weren't playing no one noticed until the starters caught whatever bug was going around.

They couldn't shoot, couldn't rebound, and couldn't play defense, in part 
because several are suffering with the flu. As the announcers said last 
night, it never seems the walk-ons ever get sick, just the starters.
