[NU Sports] Carmody and the Cats (was: UGHH)

 While I am somewhat in Chuck's camp, I repeat my question that I have raised 
several times here:--Why has no coach for NU been able to do the trick ?--Not 
even get us to the T, but .500  in conference ?? 


We tried a big name  successful coach from Duke, (Foster)  He had lost in the 
finals to KY in 1978, an African American Coach- (Byrdsong),which we thought 
migt help amongst other of his talents, recruiting Black players who  might 
have had  a perception of NU being a North Shore Country Club school unfriendly 
to Blacks, guys from other top academic programs, (Carmody) young energetic 
guys  (Falk), successful in other standard collegiate programs (Winter)

None of these guys had any success--So while I agree we have to get rid of 
unsuccessful coaches, are we just going around in circles ?--Paul has suggested 
thinking out of the box like a Kareem Jabbbar--perhaps, but I wonder if there 
are other answers--A locally successful high school coach from the Catholic 
league ?--(not as an asst, but head coach)-I am just rambling, because I dont 
have any good answers !
