The real killer down the stretch was a bunch of missed easy put-back/layup attempts, and a couple of bad turnovers. 

NU did well to overcome a sloppy first half and that early Iowa barrage of 3s, but missing those gimmees at the end did them in. Unfortunate to let a highly winnable road game get away.
