I think Lake The Posts distilled the game to its essence: live by 3, lose by 6.
If we don't go stone cold from behind the line in the second half, we win going away.
For those of you not yet in Tampa -- it's cool, in the 60s, and looks like rain may be in our near future.

It's a shame we don't have something like the "OTL" in hockey to show how close this game was -- seemed like we were in control most of it, then fell behind when Illinois made a run and had a nice gutsy comeback to force OT.
Agreed on all the reasons -- Tisdale played his best game ever, needed Coble's playmaking at the end, etc. But I came away encouraged that this team has the toughness to make it through what will be a rugged Big Ten this year. We just have to find someone to step up in close games.
The two big things are #1 how's Thompson's ankle and #2 how we respond after a tough loss to a rival. No time to mope with our upcoming schedule - hope Carmody can get 'em focused on the next game instead of thinking what coulda been in the last one.
GO CATS!!!

PS - Sure would have been nice though ... darn Illini! ... we just need to get our invite. Once there, I think we'll do well because of our unique style (kind of like playing an option team in football), but the Big Ten knows Carmody inside and out by now, so we gotta get these close Big Ten games!
