Fitz and his "young men" arrived in Tampa today, according to Channel 8 (NBC affiliate). I just saw short feature on the late news about the 'Cats visit to St. Joseph Children's Hospital. I think the Tigers also visited, but they only showed the boys in Purple and White.
There had been a feature on the earlier news. I saw a preview, which included a quote from Fitz (on camera)--but then missed it, while watching a key play in the Jets triumph over Colts. My two football passions in direct conflict.:-) The late news blurb showed Quentin Davie running down a hallway (wearing Purple jersey) with a little girl. Very heart-warming.
We are having some cool, overcast weather here. However, the forecast I just saw had warm, mostly sunny weather on Wed. and Thurs. (low '70's), with sun and high of 68 for Friday. There is 30% chance of rain, which cannot be discounted, as every forecast over past several days has mentioned possible showers. It definitely will not be hot, so our Midwestern crew should feel comfortable. I think weather will be good for the beach activities for teams and fans on Wed.
I will be up in Tampa and at the Marriott on Wed. for the NAA Buffet Dinner (Banquet). If any of you are around, give me a holler on my cell (917-902-9429), as I may have a little free time after I drop my daughter at TIA (Tampa Intl. Airport).
4 1/2 days to Kickoff!
