/Having grown up in New York, close to where Ivars did, I always tried to get in for the annual Farewell Concert, usually held about now - between Christmas and New Years. The best opening still is when the Gorilla chases the Professor down the main aisle at Avery Fisher hall, only to be "shot" by the stage manager so the show can go on./

I have been to many of these "concerts", the best being Schickele rappelling down from the third deck onto the stage!
