[NU Sports] NU & Bowl Tickets

The solution is -
Each NU club finds a sports bar, or suitable watering hole where they can
watch the bowl game. Admission is one (or more) ticket donations.
I'm sure the DC, NY, LA and Chicago clubs could raise quite a crowd - and
those who want to watch the game with friends could do so AND contribute to
the bowl ticket sales.
I'm sure any sports bar would be happy to "host" such an event for the
expected bar tab alone.

That's a great idea, Harry. The Chicago-area donors that can't attend the
bowl in person could be invited to Welsh-Ryan to watch the game on a big
screen in sort of a 'satellite bowl' venue.
Go Cats!

NU could also consider hosting a function in Chicago for those that donated
tickets as well-One thought would be to have a private party to watch the
game somewhere (If a lot of the donors are also going to the game, then
perhaps a private party in January somewhere in the area would make sense)-I
realize a lot of us ,myself included, dont live nearby, but it might
encourage local alums to donate --This would help sell tickets, help a
good cause, and offer some alumni an opportunity to mix it up with other
Wildcat faithful--
