Interesting article from NU alum Teddy Greenstein in today's Trib:

Apparently, the Big Ten is planning a big push for expansion - led by our old pal Barry Alvarez.

Love Fitz' quote in there about being the "youngest old-school guy in the league" and opposing the push.

Also love JoePa's quote at the end about the Evil Empire having their chance.

Not too much to discuss that we haven't covered on the list except that it appears to be a priority for the upcoming year. Though it would be kind of funny if the Big Ten added Cincinnati just to tick off the Slick Nick of the North, Mr. Kelly.:)

But if it's just about the bowl layoff and TV games later in the season, I'd rather go the Pac 10 route - play everybody and add more bye weeks to get December games on TV.
