The Towson Tigers are a team made up of kids who just were not good enough or "smart" enough to get low level Div I scholarships.
I would not take them lightly, especially with a brand spanking new NU offensive unit on the field and no NU fans in the stands.
These Towson kids are coming off some pretty good scrimmages where their Defense dominated
"The Tiger coach liked the turnovers that were forced by the defense. In the scrimmage, the Tiger defense intercepted five passes and recovered a fumble for a touchdown. Junior safety Raymond White led the defense with an interception and recovered a fumble for a touchdown."
However, the Offense is very young, and likely to be manhandled by the Wildcats.
According to their coach - "In scrimmages, it always seems that the defense is ahead of the offense," he said. "Our offense is still searching for its identity and trying to achieve some consistency. But I do like the way our defense is playing. Our defense is playing with a lot of intensity and our defense is playing together. We want them to run to the ball on every play and try to force turnovers."
Almost sounds like something Fitz would say... ?

Poor Akron. They have to play Penn State and Purdue at the same time. Talk
about split squads!

NORTHWESTERN 54, Towson 3 unless NU is up by 38 in the first half. Then 45
to 10.
