[NU Sports] TV for the Syracuse game

A couple of comments, in response to the last few emails:
 
1) As an XM subscriber, I can tell you that they don't cover all of the Big 
 Ten games (usually just 2 or 3), but since NU-'Cuse involves two of the 
largest  markets (NYC--see below--and Chicago), I think they will cover this  
contest.
 
2) I am very confident that ESPN+ will pick up the game in the NYC area, as 
 'Cuse has been marketing itself aggressively as New York City's "home 
team" for  the past year or two--with even a billboard in Times Square.  And, as 
the  father of one of them, I can tell you that 'Cuse has a HUGE alumni 
base in the  NYC/Long Island/Westchester/etc. area.
 
3) The Administation and Athletic Departments of both schools should  be 
strongly rebuked for the scheduling of this game--on Rosh Hashanah  (Jewish 
New Year)--given the large percentage of Jewish students and alums  
(especially NU alums in the NY metropolitan area like Yours Truly, and others on  our 
List like Willie Weinbaum, who planned on going, but then learned of the  
conflict and realized we couldn't attend).  My disappointment was somewhat  
mitigated by the scheduling of a game at Army in two years, but is still  
palpable.
