[NU Sports] free agent Cats in the draft

I heard a comment on the radio Sunday night that might relate to all this...

They were talking about Mr. Irrelevant, the last pick in the draft, and how
that "honor" doesn't mean the same thing anymore since more and more lower
draft picks are making the pros.

NU has a particularly good record in getting free agents on teams. Kustok,
Baz, and Ulrich are just a couple of names that spring to mind - guys who
were not drafted, but still hung on in training camp.

I look at the list of Cats in the Pros and I see some good, undrafted ball
players who are still playing on Sunday.

As I always say about recruiting, talk to me in six months.

The draft always amazes me.

Missouri had 2 1st rounders and I believe a 2nd and 3rd.

We had no draftees and 3 free agent picks.

And yet other than the punt return we dominated the alamo bowl.

Now tOSU had a trillion draftees and I completely understand as other than
stopping beano wells for a while we were owned. I am definitely not an tOSU
fan, but anybody who picks them not to win the conference EVERY year has a
screw loose. They are the DOMINATE team until somebody proves otherwise. I
don't believe anybody in the Big Ten has beaten tOSU in consecutive years
under Tressel.

Last January, I hated Jeremy Maclin. Now, I have to root for him. Go Cats!

Go Eagles! In that order.
