[NU Sports] Lacrosse

Along with lacrosse, women's tennis (ranked #1) and softball (#7) both are competing for national championships.

Softball had little trouble with a weak Indiana team in a doubleheader on Saturday, but the highlight was that two Cats players hit home runs onto the roof of McGaw Hall.  That's no small feat, as it had been done only once before in 30 years of softball.

The Cats are a fun team to watch, as they are one of the leading home run hitting teams in the country.  They are currently the only Big Team without a conference loss.

I should also point out that in the Duke game, Hannah Nielsen became the
NCAA's all-time assist leader with 180. she also holds the single game
mark
of 10 and is tied for the single season mark with 69. Congratulations
Hannah.
