[NU Sports] Trophy

What were the favorite suggestions from this list when this was hashed out
here a few months ago? I think I remember variants of all of these (except
the Popcorn Bowl) floated around but there were one or two clear leaders, as
I recall. Maybe Graham-Grange? I know that's my favorite of the four
official nominees.  -Joe

Thanks for that link.

To me, the fire bell seemed like the best one by far, even before I read
that the original trophy was a bell, and naming it after football
players is fitting as well. I suppose the Lincoln thing is the only
other one I'd be okay with, depending on whether it looks too cheesy.
The "president" thing opens itself too much to political trolling, and
the popcorn thing just seems silly. Maybe some fan will come up with an
even better idea, though.

It looks like the voting is conducted through the U of I website;
hopefully they won't cook the results to favor Illini votes. :)
