Stephen Simmons is out(season?) as far as I understand. He was injured returning a kick vs. Duke.

McMannis returned kicks vs. SIU and Ebert returned kicks vs. Ohio.

Concannon had an assisted tackle vs. Ohio.

I think Conteh will be fine when they adjust the gameplan to suit him, but I agree depth is an issue, but then again you don't see many other teams playing beyond 2 deep in regards to tailback.

This CJ game reminded me of Baz and Air Farce. The difference...we won vs. Ohio.

As CJ lost control I don't know why we didn't go to screen/swing passes to Conteh. I think that would have been effective and less risky. WR screens lack the YAC that RB screens seem to generate.

Good points, Tom.

<snip>I also worry about our depth at running back. Who do we
have behind Conteh? A sophomore and three freshmen (two redshirt and one true) by my tally, none of whom have much if any game experience. Who's next in line--Simmons, maybe? I was excited about Concannon when he committed a couple of years ago but I haven't really heard much about him since then. Here's hoping Tyrell is up to full speed again quickly.
