Great finish to the Purdue-Oregon game.? I may be a minority here, but I was rooting for Oregon, which overcame some tough injuries and a bad start to win in 2 OT.? I want somee of our BT brethren to chalk up some "L's" in the Non-Conf games, so if (when) we become bowl-eligible down the road, we have the edge in tiebreakers, etc.? And I want Tiller's boys softened up before they come to Ryan next month.? That is a tough home assignment, but if Hankwittz continues to retool the "D", anything is possible.? I like how our team is responding when we fall behind.? That is something we did not show enough of last year, in key games, and I think that the resilience and senior leadership can be the difference-maker this year.? The bitter taste of being on the outside looking in at bowl time seems to be driving our squad, and Tyrell is such a threat that now that he he is healthy, he opens up the whole field for our attack.?? We are taking care of business--not a juggernaut by any stretch, but an efficient little engine that hopefully will grow week by week into a well-oiled machine.? The schedule sets up well for us if we can get by Ohio and then go into Iowa City and beat Ferentz (again).?

And to top it all, my son's Bucknell Bisons (He's a frosh.) are 2-0, much to both of our surprise.? He did call me up today to congratulate me on the 'Cats 3-0 start, which warmed my paternal heart.

Now if my J-E-T-S and our new NYC hero, Mr. Favre, can beat the hated Pats tomorrow, my weekend will be complete!?
