FW: [NU Sports] Whew!

Like Jonathan said in a later post, Duke was also running no huddle, except
they kept doing this really annoying setup and stop before the snap where
they would get in position to run the play and then stop, stand up (can't
remember if the O-Line would stand) get a new play or reassurance to run the
same play.
It was quite annoying to many of us in the stands and there was some
noticeable grumbling around me at times.
That all said, the Duke offense maintained position and moved the ball and
earned every bit of their 40 minutes of possession. NU, on the other hand,
well ... couldn't ... thank goodness for Duke's punt failure (NU scores 2
plays later) and for that 45 yard catch.
I just read Jeff's post about Duke stopping NUs run and I think he hits the
nail on the head. BTW, what's the background of the Cats new OC?

Cutcliffe has a good chance of turning Duke into a decent team, especially
on offense. Whether they can compete for the ACC title in a few years
remains to be seen. (And whether 'decent' will be enough for their fans
is another issue.)

Dave Eanet kept pointing that out, I think Duke had over 90 plays on
offense to NU's 60 or so.
That's the downside of the no-huddle offense. Yes, it can wear out the
other team's defense (as it seemed to a week ago), but it can also cause
your defense to get tired if there are a lot of 3-and-outs on offense.
Did anyone notice that we now have one vote in the coaches poll?
